Preview's highlight color "yellow" is orange?

I'm seeing this on both of my Macs, running the latest version of Monterey and Catalina. Whatever happened to a good clean, reasonably transparent yellow? Does Adobe own that patent or something?

I really like how light and easy Preview is, and prefer to use Apple Apps whenever possible, but is there a way to bring back YELLOW?

Much obliged if anyone else had found a solution to the orange problem?

That is so WHACKED! Why would they not have THE most common highlight color? Strange I haven't noticed. One would think that Apple would be more than happy to put Acrobat on the rails here and make Preview a fast, lightweight, easy-to-use PDF document editor. Does anyone know why Apple would be "unwilling" to offer yellow or allow users to add it? And why call orange "yellow?"

I hope that Apple will improve the editing tools to make them a bit more user-friendly too. It seems to take me ages to remember how to draw on a photo I need to send someone with instructions and I do that about once a week.

But the weird orange addiction and over-saturated "Highlight" colors seem intentionally obtuse. What gives?
