Why does sometimes on macOS windows have a purple tint

This happens a lot on finder when it's not the current window, looks kind of ugly

MacBook Pro 17″, OS X 10.11

Have you enabled Dark Mode or Night Shift? They adjust the background colors of windows.

I have dark mode enabled, but that shouldn't be causing that slight purple tint. I didn't have night shift enabled ( now I do, thanks for reminding me ) and if anything that makes it less purple
