Why does sometimes on macOS windows have a purple tint

This happens a lot on finder when it's not the current window, looks kind of ugly

Pink tint on macbook pro For close to a year now after I updated my computer to Catalina (MacBook Pro 13inch 2017, no touch bar) there has been a pink/orange tint and hue to the whites on my display. It only happens at certain angles that my screen is open. It starts at about 90 degrees to the maximum open position. It is really annoying and ruins a lot of experiences for me when photo editing or watching movies. To add, when I screenshot my computer the colors do not show up so I am unsure if it a software or hardware problem.If anyone has any idea why this happened lmk!

MacBook Pro 2017 blue halo and turquoise highlights Experiencing an issue with my 2017 MacBook Pro. There is a blue halo around all icons on my start screen. It is also translating into different apps e.g., search bar on Safari has turned turquoise as have all settings pages etc which were previously white. It can't be to do with the entire screen as writing this the text box is white, however the outline is turquoise. I have seen a couple of people have had similar issues so was wondering how/if they were resolved? I spoke to Apple Support over the phone and they told me to update my laptop but that made no difference whatsoever. It seems to have come out of nowhere as well.

Finder window background color resets to default after every update / upgrade I've been experiencing this for a very long time, and was just curious if anyone else sees this happening. I like to set the Finder window for Applications with a light purple background, and for Utilities with a light blue background, and both in icon view. Every time I do a system update (or a system upgrade): Both of those windows reset to list view and with the default background (I use Dark mode). When I go to View Options in the Finder window, it is still set to Always open in icon view, even though it opens in list view after the update completes. When I reset these Finder windows to my preferred colors, they persist without issue... until the next update. I am fairly certain that this is not specific to Monterey, as this has happened for every upgrade since the OS version that came preinstalled on this computer (refurbished iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) that I got from the Apple Store in, I think, 2017). It's not specific to this computer, either, because it happened on my previous computer (a MacBook Pro, 15", from 2008 or so) and also happens on my work laptop, a MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017). Does anyone have any thoughts as to what this is all about and why this would happen, or is this just a weird OS quirk that's not significant enough to be fixed? Thanks in advance. Have you enabled Dark Mode or Night Shift? They adjust the background colors of windows.

I have dark mode enabled, but that shouldn't be causing that slight purple tint. I didn't have night shift enabled ( now I do, thanks for reminding me ) and if anything that makes it less purple
