Apple Pencil 2 stored on a magnet? ok or not and why…

Sometimes I want to remove the pencil and take the iPad without it.

Is it ok to place the pencil on a magnetic stand for long periods of time.

Will the magnet harm the pencil’s charging mechanism or change it’s polarity in a way?
