link to local file
Is there anyway to include a hyperlink within a Pages doc that will open a local document?

"I am hoping someone knows a workaround."
Save a copy of your local document in Dropbox, Box, or other similar 'cloud storage site.'
This will provide you with an internet address to the document, which should be usable in a Pages doc.

Barry

Again, testing with Pages v11.2 and using iCloud Drive as a Pages document location, I can copy/paste the File URI into the Pages link editor which assigns the link to selected text. Pressing the cmd key and clicking that text opens the link editor panel with the full URI to the file on iCloud Drive shown. Clicking the Open Link button does nothing.
I would not expect an unsupported feature to work with a different file URI or http link URL to DropBo..x, Google Drive, or any other destination.
Okay, thanks.
No. Only links supported are internal Pages bookmark, Webpage, Email, or Phone number (Pages v11.2).
Thanks. I know those are the options offered by Apple. I am hoping someone knows a workaround.
No workaround. The link editor will allow you to enter a file URL, but ignores it afterward.
Terrific. Thanks, Barry.
Thanks
