iOS 15 - USB Car Connection / music doc Does not work

I have the iPhone 12 Pro Mac with iOS 15.1.1 installed and since the recent update I haven’t been able to play music via USB cable to my Honda City. It was working with my iPhone 11 Pro which had iOS 14 installed and only has become an issue since having the IOS 15 . The cable will charge the iPhone and does recognize the phone is connected and displays the RETRAY whatsoever. I HAVE TRIED WITH NEW cable, I checked for any update for my car system and it is up to date and I also tried connecting to my friends same car model and it did the exact same thing, no luck on this as well so it is a huge problem, more of an annoyance but I still welcome any thoughts or suggestions on a fix for this. Most of the music is on my phone so it is  causing an issue where the car doesn’t recognize the iPhone as an “iPod”. I have also tried it with other Bose music dock’s and still the same issue. It feels like there is some issue with the iOS. Need resolution on it. 

Please suggest.

It appears that you're having a problem playing music when you connect your iPhone 12 Pro to your car's stereo system via USB cable. You cannot play music through your car's stereo system. Great job on the troubleshooting steps you've used, and we're glad to provide assistance.


Change the way music sounds on iPhone - Apple Support -- Go to Settings > Music > EQ. If it's on, turn it off. Then Restart your iPhone - Apple Support. Once your iPhone has returned to the Home Screen, see if you can play music through your car's stereo again.


Get Support -- If the EQ setting was already off, or if you're still unable to play music from your iPhone to your car, please contact Apple Support.
