Cellular

Can any iPad be made to use cellular data? I want my iPad to work everywhere I go for work purposes without a hotspot.

If your iPad is a model with wifi and cellular capabilities, you can use

a wireless data plan for access where your wireless provider has signal.

If your iPad is wifi only, cellular capability cannot be added after purchase.

However, your wireless provider may offer a mifi-type device for portable connection.

Since this is a variation on hotspot, it may not meet your needs.

What is the model number of your iPad? Settings>General>About>Model.

You may have to scroll to see the entry for Model.

Since iOS 12.2, the Model Name is displayed as well as a generic model code
