If it asked for an Apple ID and it didn’t accept what you entered that means that you didn’t set one up when you enabled the Screen Time passcode. If it isn’t accepting an Apple ID the only way to clear a screen time passcode is to restore using a computer. It does not have to be a laptop. It can be any Windows PC (including a Surface) that runs Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11 or any Mac. If you don’t have any computer and can’t borrow one you can make an appointment at an Apple store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. Apple will not charge for restoring your phone; for a 3rd party provider you would have to ask.

You don’t need a Mac. You can use iTunes on Windows 7 or later.
