Mac OS Monterey does not recognize Garmin devices

Mac OS Monterey will not recognize my Garmin BMW Navigator VI (USB-C to Micro-USB) or my Edge 510 (USB-C to Mini-USB). It passes power to both devices, but does not recognize them. Both work fine on the same system with Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.  I have tried new dedicated USB-C to Micro/Mini USB cables and USB-C to USB3 adaptors with the old cables. Same cables on another MacBook Pro with Big Sur 11.6 work fine.

Thanks for the response.

Yes, USB-3 flash drives work, connected to USB-C through an adapter. Also, my G-Drive works, connected in either of these configs:

1) G-Drive USB-C port connected via USB-C cable to Macbook Pro16 USB-C port

2) G-Drive USB-C port connected via USB-C cable on G-Drive end to USB-3/USB-C adapter to MacbookPro16 USB-C port

Booted in safe mode, and Garmin is still not recognized through Micro-USB to USB-C port, although it still passes power to the device.
