WiFi shows “No Internet Connection” when trying to connect to smart device

I am having an issue getting some

devices to connect since getting the iPhone 13. When I get the device (outlet, robovac) to transmit its WiFi frequency it won’t connect and says no internet. I am pausing the 5g on our router and it isn’t helping. I’ve tried restarting my phone. I haven’t done the router because other people are using it and some things reconnected (on their own). Any suggestions?

So I got it to work, i don’t know if it will help anyone else, but thought I would post in case someone is looking at a similar situation and doesn’t want to be told they don’t have an issue. I tried connecting and then hitting the info (i) button to see if there were settings I could adjust. When I went back out the WiFi settings were showing correctly, and not switching to the LTE and connected my device quickly. I guess maybe I was used to going through it at a rapid pace before and it now it needs time to fully connect

Let me tell you this. What you see and get is expected as your Robovac vacuum doesn’t provide Internet access to your iPhone.

Your iPhone and Robovac cleaner now are connected with each other over WiFi. If you want to have access to the Internet on your iPhone via WiFi then connect the device to home’s WiFi router, then do the same thing on your Robovac cleaner by connecting it to home’s WiFi router.

You still have no Internet connection on your iPhone. Your approach won’t help anyone. The correct setup is to have your Robovac connected to your home WiFi router, the same way as you connect your iPhone to it. That way both device will see each other, your iPhone will have an Internet connection and you will be able to control the vacuum cleaner.

Maybe you should consider to finally look into page 29 of the vacuum cleaner manual…

The screenshots you posted shows your iPhone is connected to eufy Robovac WiFi. But the Robovac device doesn’t broadcast the Internet signal and that’s what your iPhone is telling you.

Perhaps you might want to connect both your iPhone and Robovac to your home’s WiFi instead. You might want to see Robovac’s manual on how to do it.

On iPhone, you follow Connect to Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

I am following the manual. I cropped my pic too much. The issue is, because there is “no internet” it’s switching to LTE and not using the devices transmission so I can connect to it. I can’t get it to stay on the WiFi, it switches to cellular

and the device won’t connect. I’ve done this multiple times with multiple devices, not sure what the issue is now

I don’t want access to the internet. I understand that it is NOT an internet access point. I am not trying to connect to the internet. I am trying to connect to the device but when selecting the source it is switching to cellular, it is not connecting to the robovac or any of the other smart outlets I’ve tried. When I switch back to the eufy app it says I am no longer connected to WiFi so it won’t run through the connection. I have tried this without the 2.4 ghz paused, it worked as it normally did before, shows as still connected to the “WiFi” (but actually the eufy transmission, not an internet source) and ran through the connection cycle, but when it got to the end of the connection cycle it said there was an error, this is a 2.4 device and needs a 2.4 connection.

The actually issue is that I HAVE internet when I shouldn’t. It’s connecting to cellular

No. There is no issue. Your iPhone knows there is no Internet connection over WiFi so instead it is using LTE connection for the Internet access for as long it remains connected to Robovac.

My advise here stays the same. Connect your iPhone and Robovac to your Home WiFi router. Otherwise, reach out to Robovac support for help since it is their app that is reporting issue; they will know best how to help you.

It did work for what I was trying to do. As I repeatedly said, I DON'T WANT INTERNET CONNECTION. I was trying to connect it TO MY PHONE. After connecting it to my phone I then went back to my normal WIFI with internet connection and I can now control the vacuum and the light switches because they are now accessible in the app, where they were not available before, because they were not connected. I don't know why you continue to respond. You don't understand the question. It did work and if anyone else actually understands what I was trying to do then it will help them. I'm honestly surprised to find such rudeness and lack of knowledge in an Apple forum.

This is the first time you said you don’t want the Internet connection. Also your post is titled in a way as no Internet access is an issue.

You don't understand the question.

Maybe. But I do know how this should be set correctly and a hassle free.

I don't know why you continue to respond.

Because I can. That’s how community works. But don’t worry. I won’t do it anymore. I wish you all best. ✌🏼
