Halo I would like to use my phone number for iMessage and not my Apple ID, how do I go about it !

1. Open Settings
2. Click Messages
3. Click Send & Receive
4. Select Phone Number

1. Open Settings
2. Click Messages
3. Click iMessage to toggle it off
4. After a short wait, toggle iMessage back on
5. Select Send & Receive
6. Select Phone Number

If that doesn’t work, then I’m afraid that I’m out of ideas.

There are a few ideas:

First, simply restart your iPhone and try again.

No luck with that?

Next step is a hard reset:

1. Press the volume up
2. Press volume down
3. Press and hold the power button until the screen goes blank and the Apple logo  appears

I'm having the same issue... I'm doing the steps and when I select my phone number it loads then nothing happens. It just all of a sudden occurred. What can I do so it actually stays? As opposed to buffering and staying at my email.

My thoughts exactly, I have done it 3 times (hard reset) in total today to no avail. Any other options?
