Captcha on iPad

Why does iPad fail to show Captcha security when logging on to some sites? Very frustrating when there is no problem on Mac or MacBook.

Hello, ahall561.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

If you're using Safari, you can check to see if your iPad is using the mobile website version: Customize your Safari settings on iPad

"Change display and privacy controls

Use the Page Settings button to switch to Reader view, hide the search field, set privacy controls for a website, and more.

To open Page Settings, tap  on the left side of the search field, then do any of the following:

  • View the mobile version of the webpage: Tap Request Mobile Website (if available)."

If you see Request Mobile Website, then you're already viewing the desktop version. If you see Request Desktop Version, you can click on that to switch and see if the captcha loads. If this doesn't help, you'll need to contact the website developer or app developer if you're using a different web browser.

An alternative method is to also try another web browser to see if the captcha loads.

You can also try the steps here to see if it helps: If Safari displays a blank page or quits on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Best regards.
