Apple Card unusable for many online purchases in EU - Mastercard securecode issue?

My Goldman Sachs Apple card is almost unusable for online payments in the EU. No Dominos in Brussels, No underwear order fro France. They all get rejected. I can use a US based Visa card because it goes through a Verified by Visa loop so my assumption is that EU merchants are rejecting the Apple Card because it does not seem to use the Mastercard Secure Code system.

Has anyone been able to activate Mastercard secure code for their Apple Card? Not the new rotating CVC thing but Mastercard's own verification system: https://sea.mastercard.com/en-region-sea/personal/get-support/safety-and-security/mastercard-identity-check.html
