New remote ‘power’ button moves?

Here’s one for the hive. When I received my new ATV 4K 2021 with the new remote I noticed the power button didn’t physically move but seemed like it was a touch control. I’ve had no issues with it in use. Now I just got back from my daughter’s home and their new ATV 4K 2021 remote power button does indeed move when pressed, with a definite travel.

So what’s the deal? Is the power button actually a physical button that moves when pressed? Is my remote’s power button defective? Should I get it replaced under warranty or let well enough alone?

The power button on my Siri Remote (2nd generation) [A2540] is slightly raised, and can be pushed down slightly by that amount, just enough to feel that you pressed it down a tiny bit.
