Hi,

If the affected product you wish to cover is your computer, you would be eligible to purchase coverage within 60 days of the device’s DOP.

For Mac products, you have the option to purchase upfront AC+ which includes three years of contract coverage, or you can purchase annual AC+ that renews once a year billed to your Apple ID.

If you purchased upfront AC+, after the three year contract ends you are eligible to extend coverage in the form of annual; you would have thirty days from your upfront contract ending to purchase additional coverage.

Purchasing

  • mysupport.apple.com/add-coverage
  • Apple Icon in menu bar > About this Mac > Coverage & Support > AppleCare+ Coverage Available
  • via Apple Support
  • ARS or AAR

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202702

Just in case you are not asking about the Mac, but instead asking how to purchase AC+ for another product using your Mac: it depends on the product you need coverage for.

iPad, iPhone: must be done on affected product as Diagnostics are required to complete agreement sale

Monthly AC+ billed through Apple ID:

  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • Apple Watch
  • mac products in the form of an annual agreement

AC+ PUF:

  • Mac products
  • iPhone
  • Apple Watch
  • iPad
  • HomePod / HomePod mini
  • AirPods & Beats products
  • Apple TV
  • Apple Display
  • iPod

*PUF - Paid Upfront Agreement

*DOP - Date of purchase

*ARS - Apple Retail Store

*AAR - Apple Authorized Reseller

Hope this helps!
