Canon TS5100 Series Printer/Scanner

I try to scan from MacBook to the above mentioned device and get "Failed to open a connection to the device (-21345) yet I can print no problems. This is extremely frustrating. Has anyone a solution please?

Check for drivers from Canon, then contact Canon support.

Unfortunately for trying to figure out which drivers are current, Canon’s made it easy to get scammed with fake websites that may well exist among all the apparently-real web domains they’re inexplicably using, and made it harder to find anything.

This looks to be the support website for PIXMA TS5120, but lacks macOS drivers:

Manuals look to be from 2017, which isn’t usually an auspicious finding.

I suspect you’ll need to check with Canon.
