Calendar - Delays in displaying events after upgrade to iOS 15.1.

After upgrade to iOS 15.1. (from 15) I noticed a significant slow down of the Calendar display (weekly display mainly). When opening Calendar app (weekly view as per default), it does not show any events. Sometimes it take up to 20 seconds to show all events. But in most cases I need to close and start the app again. Then it works.

This was not the case on iOS 15.

Environment:

iPhone 13 pro
iOS 15.1
I am running around 10 calendars (different customers) in parallel.

I need to mention, after upgrading my MBP M1 to Monterey, I noticed a significant slow down of the calendar display (weekly display) as well.

Anybody else facing the same issue?

I can confirm iOS 15.2 fixed the issue.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re experiencing issues with your Calendar app slowly loading on your iPhone and Mac. We’re happy to help.

If you haven’t already, make sure you’re running the most current version of the latest software:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

If that doesn’t help, you can isolate further by turning off “Calendar” for specific accounts and then testing. You can do so by tapping Settings > Calendar > Accounts on your iPhone.

On your Mac, open Calendar, then select “Calendar” in the Menu bar > Preferences > Accounts.

If the issue affects more than one account, contact Apple Support.
