A possible network intrusion attempt from 8.218.53.68 has been detected and blocked.

Hey everyone.

I have this Apple TV around 1 month or more now. And i realised that each day i got like 10+ warning that somebody is trying to get access to my Apple TV.

Does anybody know why i am having this problem ever since i got this apple tv? I have another one in the living room and there is no problem.

It is not about your Apple TV. Correlation does not imply causation.

The malicious host is likely opportunistically scanning the internet for vulnerabilities to exploit.

Make sure UPnP is turned off on your router.

I agree...

Also if you have not done so...

-Make sure your router has the most current firmware patch.

If your router no longer receives any updates by your router's mfgr. You may want to consider replacing it.

-In fact it is a good idea to patch all devices connected to your network.

-If you have old/legacy devices that can no longer receive updates and you really don't

need to have them connected to your network, disconnect them these devices can provide

doorways for intruders for any where around the globe to attack your network.

If you have device that still have the factory password on them update the password.

Intruders look for these devices as the factory password can be googled.
