After my last update some of my notes disappeared. They were long list of specs on my pick up truck. Took a long time to enter all the notes. When I went back to look at them they were gone. I believe I had just made an update on the phone when this happened. Is there any way I can get these back?
Settings > Notes > Accounts, then access your Google account configuration and toggle off and on switch for “Notes”.
What account were you storing the notes in? iCloud? On your iPhone? a 3rd party email account?
Check that Notes is turned on for all your email accounts that may be storing notes in Settings->Notes->Accounts.
If they were stored in Gmail, try logging in to the gmail account at https://keep.google.com , and see if Google synced them correctly.
Otherwise try toggling the Notes switch for the Gmail account and see if that gets them synced back down.

Toggle the switch in Settings->Contacts->Accounts->Gmail->Contacts switch.
You can also try checking in Notes in https://mail.google.com while logged in with the Gmail account. Your synced Notes should be there rather than in Google Keep.

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know what exactly is occurring. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.
The notes were stored under Gmail in a notes folder. I checked in settings and Notes was turned on in settings notes accounts.. thank you for the help.
my husband had this information in Notes for several years. It seemed like when we updated the iCloud when we bought a new phone or updated the old phone that is when they were lost. I am just wondering if there is anywhere that I can get this back.

I think that talk too much time has gone by since the problem occurred. I did what was said to do and I am still unable to find it. But thank you all for your help.
