target volume

I am trying to upgrade my MacBook Pro to the latest version. When I get to the screen where it asks "select the disk where you want to install" this message pops up. "The target volume does not have enough free space to install."


I upgraded my data plan and it shows I have plenty of room. Please help.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

Your Mac's disk space has nothing to do with your data plan...
