China mainland iPad make a difference in US?

Looking to buy a used iPad from someone and its a mini 5th generation, but it says (china mainland only). Does it work just fine in the US as well, or will I run into issues?

Hey there Ladyglitter21,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. Is this a cellular model iPad? If so, you’ll want to use the following link to make sure it will work with your network:

iPad - Networks - Apple

It may also come with a different power adapter and you’ll need to get a different one if you don’t have a compatible one already.

Also, it’s a good idea to consider the warranty coverage and make sure not accounts are signed into the device as well.

You may want to consider buying a refurbished iPad directly from Apple, it comes with warranty and has a lower costs than a new model:

Refurbished iPad - Apple

Take care.
