Problems with one app not appearing on my notifications list

I have a first gen SE... a few days ago i stopped getting push notifications etc from my SimpliSafe alarm system....then I discovered that I'm not getting Simplisafe login verification messages or phone calls either, and that means I can't access my Simplisafe account. I tried deleting and reloading the app, turning off the phone and restarting it, etc.

I checked the notifications list in settings, and the Simplisafe app is not on the notifications list.

I checked the version date on the app: it's a new version that just came out.

I'm thinking that the problem lies with the new version SimpliSafe app.

Is anybody else having this problem?

Am I correct in thinking that the problem lies with the app, not my phone?

Solution!

there were several problems that Simplisafe customer service handled today... first, wifi was not connecting, so I/we reset that. then, customer service discovered that the base station was running an older version module that could not be updated, so they are sending me a no charge replacement with up-to-date modules.

Next, I/we checked thru all the blocked numbers on my phone, checking for the number their notifications go out from. Found it! Simplisafe had been blocked, so I unblocked the number.

then I/we via the phone app turned off all the camera notification settings. waited a bit, and reset all the camera notifications settings.

Voila!... now I am getting all notifications and I can log on to the website!

Kudos to Sue in customer service.
