If you need to remove the phone number and add another one, you can use these steps: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime

In case those steps don't work, try to reset your Apple ID password: Change your Apple ID password

Then repeat the steps in the first resource above.

We're a bit confused. Are you saying there is an unknown phone number appearing within the FaceTime and Messages apps? Does it appear to have been a missed call or message? Could it be from a contact that no longer appears as a contact? What does the text or iMessage say exactly within the Messages app? This could be related to phishing: Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams

If it's not related to a phishing attempt or you're worried about your Apple ID, you can always reset the password to secure the account: If you forgot your Apple ID password
