MacBook Pro Issues
My 13’’ MBP 2012 beeps three times but will not start up.
Please note that I have already:
Reset RAM (newer, “name brand,” no previous problems).
Reset SMC/PMU
Reset PRAM
No joy.

3 beeps indicate a problem with RAM modules.
Macs are finicky about RAM. The new modules you got are not working well. Try installing them individually and start your Mac to see if it boots.

Yes. Thanks.
Reseating did nothing to help.
Put OLD RAM in.
Booted right up.
Of the two 8GB sticks, one was bad.
Fairly new, Crucial.
Who’d a thunk it?
Now, instead of 16GB, I only have 12GB.
Oh well.
Up and running.
Crucial comes with a Money-back guarantee.
The stickers on the DIMMs are your proof of purchase -- no need to shuffle through the shoebox looking for the receipt.
🤗
Thanks!
I was about ready to get out my shoe boxes!
