AirPods Pro case won’t hold a charge

My AirPods Pro are right at a year old. I noticed recently that anytime I pull them out of my pocket they’re dead. I charge the case up fully, and then the next day the case battery is dead - despite not having been used since it was charged.

I have the exact same issue. When plugged in the case says it has 100% battery, but instantly dies as soon as it is unplugged. I am unable to do a hard reset as the case constantly cycles between being on and off when plugged in so I don't have a constant 15 seconds of on time to reset it.

Incredibly frustrating and has basically made my airpods useless. This happened overnight and is clearly a software issue as the case itself is at 100% battery and is just forgetting.
