How do I transfer a page from notes to pages without it coming out in a wonky little box? Even if I select all in pages, then paste in another place, the whole document is not being transferred, and it is hidden in the pages document. Why doesn’t it come up in a regular format, but instead in a box? What can I do to get it out of the box? Thanks very much!

It sounds, from your description, like copying the note copies the text of the note AND its container, and the subsequent paste into Pages pastes the container and its contained text.
You might try pasting the copie note into an empty page, then selecting the text within the box, but not the box itself, copying, thn pasting that into the Pages document.

How Pages on your iPad Pro handles copy/paste from Notes, may be different than how Notes and Pages on macOS cooperate.
For instance, using macOS 11.6.1, I can select, then copy/paste the following content from Apple's Notes application into Pages v11.2:

Actually I just updated the app and I guess it made it easy to work between apps, and everything is transferring just fine now. Thanks for your help!
Thanks so much Barry!!! That’s what I tried doing. I highlighted everything in the box, select all, copy, and it was all highlighted, but when I pasted into a new page only part of it copied over. In the future I guess I will try to
use pages in the first place. I’ve been using notes for my thoughts but it is not great for transferring to pages or if I want to transfer to an email. I really appreciate you trying to help me!!! Hope you have a wonderful season!🌸
