com.microsoft.adalcache

Recently upgraded/restored to Monterey. Now I repeatedly get request from Microsoft Word to use confidential information stored in "com.microsoft.adalcache" in my key chain.

However, when I enter keychain password, the box just recurs over and over (no message about incorrect password.

How do I get rid of this annoying box?

There is this Microsoft article:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/troubleshoot/sign-in/repeated-prompts-authentication

Try the above manual method as documented by Microsoft to remove the bad/duplicate entries from your keychain. Or if you are more tech savvy, try the script linked below which will automate it:

There is also Paul Bowden's Github (lead Microsoft Engineer on the Office for Mac Team) which has a nukeoffkeychain script which can fix this issue: https://github.com/pbowden-msft/NukeOffKeychain
