Default location for iMovie Projects

Where is the default location iMovie project files are kept on iMac? I want to archive them for later use. Do not know where to look for them to move them.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.12

All of the iMovie project files that are still in editable form are stored in the iMovie library. Your iMovie library is found in your Movies folder (Go/Home/Movies).

iMovie projects that are still in editable form cannot be stored separately from the iMovie library that contains them. If you have some project that you want to archive separately from others, you would need to create a new iMovie library and copy them to it. To copy an iMovie project to a new library, open both libraries. In the library that contains the projects go to the Projects browser view (where your projects are displayed as icons). Move your cursor over the project's icon and click on the little circle with dots in it next to the title. The resulting pop up menu will have an item where you can select to Copy to ... the destination library.
