Is the MagSafe charger compatible with the iPhone XR?

Magsafe is a feature that works best with the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 13 lineups.

The MagSafe charger would certainly charge the XR, but what makes MagSafe so slick is the magnets built into the iPhone that align and lock the accessories into place. The XR does not have those magnets.

Also, if you choose to purchase the MagSafe charger for your boyfriend, note that it does not come with the actual charger. You would need a USB C power supply to go along with it, unless he has one already.

I doubt you'd find a case for the XR that says it's MagSafe compatible (as I commented in my other response, Magsafe isn't a feature associated with the XR), an acceptable case would just maybe comment that it's compatible with wireless chargers..

There are no different models of MagSafe, just Apple Magsafe Charger, for all compatible iPhones.
