Monterey with 2nd monitor

Greetings, I am trying to get my NEC LCD2690WUXI to function properly with my new iMac (27" Retina5K 2020 Monterey 12.0.1). There is a signal but the screen is all distorted and whacked out resolution. When I go to displays in System Preferences it appears but none of the standard NEC Resolutions appear. Any thoughts?

Mac mini M2 connecting to a HP M27FQ Monitor - Display resolution only works at 1280 x 1024 Hello, I'm new to the Mac World and seem to be having issues when connecting my HP M27FQ monitor ( using HDMI ) to my M2 Mac mini. Although the monitor wants to work at 2560 x 1440 resolution..........I can only get the Mac mini to connect at 1280 x 1024 with a stable connection. Trying to use 2560 x 1440 leaves me with a blank output, which sporadically flashes up the correct screen ( after re connecting the HDMI cable ).......which makes it a bit tricky to change back to 1280 x 1024. I've spoken to Apple online help ( plus a visit to the Genius Bar ) and it just seems to be a "driver" or firmware thing. Has anyone else encountered this issue with Mac mini (M2) and HP M27FQ ? Where's the best place to find out if a future FW upgrade would fix this Display resolution issue? Thanks

EXTERNAL MONITOR DELL NOT RECOGNISED AFTER MONTEREY UPGRADE I upgraded to macOS Monterey 12.2 for my macBook Pro (15" mid 2018) and now my external monitor Dell alienware is not recognized. I've successfully used a Dell monitor with a usb C adaptor until this IOS upgrade. In order to rule out the USB C port issue, I did try a different monitor brand, and for my surprise did work. So the issue is not the C port, not cables, not power, (the Dell works on different devices). When I connect my macbook Pro Dell AW doesn't work. Already try the option button while clicking display in system preferences but nothing seems to work to get the computer to now recognized the Dell AW 27 monitor.

Problem solved...new USB-C to DVI Adaptor.
