Bluetooth symbol on app icons in iPadOS…

Why is there a Bluetooth symbol on the Safari icon on my iPad? It is there even after I close out the app.

Hi nygjdj,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have a question about the Bluetooth icon and Safari. We're happy to provide some information to get you in the right direction to assist.

Do you typically use Handoff or Continuity to connect your Apple devices?

If needed, the article here can help you check your current settings. Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch

Use Handoff to continue tasks on your other devices

You can also check to see if you've allowed Safari to connect to other devices on your local network. The page here can help you check: If an app would like to connect to devices on your local network

If you check all the settings and are still seeing the icon, reach out to Apple Support to further assist.

Cheers!
