Cobra123,

While auto-disconnecting isn't a feature you can turn on or off right now, we do think that leaving feedback would be great as it gives you an opportunity to tell the developers of features you'd like to see in the future: Product Feedback - Apple. As far as disconnecting a specific device, you're exactly right that control center will disable Bluetooth at large rather than specific devices. However, in the Settings > Bluetooth app you'll be able to do this without issue.

Hopefully this info helps a bit.

Hey there, Cobra123!

Thanks so much for using Apple Support Communities.

It's definitely super important that you're able to use the right Bluetooth device at the right time. If you're noticing that the iPhone is auto switching between active devices, we think it might be best to disconnect from the ones you're not actively using. This won't involve fully un-pairing them from your iPhone, but rather just closing the active connection which allows them to switch back and forth. Here is how to do that: Set up and use Bluetooth accessories on iPhone

We hope that this information is helpful.

Have a great day!

Thanks for your reply mario49. However I can not find a way to disconnect a select active device, when I use the function in the control center it disconnects all active devices including the one I am listening to. My specific issue is that I have bluetooth hearing aids but I prefer to play music from a Bluetooth speaker. I leave my iPhone close to the speaker so that the sound will be clear and undisrupted. However, as I move around the room my hearing aids loose and then regain connection with my phone and that's when the iPhone switches the music from the bluetooth speaker to my hearing aids which I don't want. Pairing the hearing aids is a pain so unparing (forget device) the hearing aids is not a realistic option.

What I don't understand is why apple doesn't add a feature to allow auto connection to be turned off. That would solve a lot of problems for me. Auto connect would still be an option for those that want the auto connect feature. Am I missing something?
