Photos App on iPhone and Macbook

I have an iPhone 12 pro Max and am considering buying a Macbook Pro 16. I wondered if the Photos app on the Macbook would show the same photos and videos that are in the Photos App camera roll on my iPhone. I edit photos and videos on the iphone. I have the 2TB of icloud storage and my photos and videos are all backed up to icloud. I therefore presumed that this would sync with the Photos app on a Macbook and that if I edited any photos in the photos app on my Macbook that any changes would also be replicated in the Photos app on my iPhone but wanted to check. Thanks

iPhone XS Max, iOS 13

If you have iCloud Photos turned on in both devices, all photos and any changes (edits, deletions) will sync with iCloud and both devices. See: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support
