How can I get the password for this iphone SE I jus bought recently from someone else not knowing it was password locked?

Can anyone please tell me how I can I figure out the password for this iphone SE?

I bought it for a birthday gift for my niece...

If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support

if the seller did not take all the steps you can't use the phone though
