“No Connection” Error Message on Gmail

Hi

For several days, Gmail and iPhone Mail apps reflect unread messages, which are not visible on opening the apps. The error message “no connection” appears. I have removed and reinstalled both apps, and reset my WiFi modem, to no avail. Please help!

Hello mary-ann225,

We understand that you have several mail client apps, the Mail app being one of them, that are providing you an error message.

Do you have the same email account(s) set up in both apps or are we working with different email accounts? We ask that to determine if perhaps the message is related to the account and not the apps. A clarification, please do not provide us the email address, we don’t need that.

Do you notice the same situation on both Wi-Fi and cellular data?

Thank you.
