Hompod Mini can only have 1 automation option

This is shown whenever I try to add automation to my homepod mini. I want to have the “people arrive” option as well to play music when I arrive home but it doesn’t let me. How can I resolve this even I am subscribed to apple music?

How to force Apple TV to be Home Hub instead of HomePods? While trying to share the Home I created under my Apple ID with my wife, she was being blocked from joining my Home. After doing some reading, I realized the issue was one of our 10 HomePods (original ones) was the active Home Hub and only HomePod Mini and Apple TV 4K allow for home sharing. Since I couldn't find anyway to manage this, I unplugged all the HomePods to force the Apple TV 4K to take over. At that point she could join the shared home. I've looked in every nook and cranny of the Home app on both iOS and macOS, but there doesn't seem to be a way to have control over which eligible device is the active Home Hub. There also doesn't seem to be a way to disable Home Hub eligibility at a device configuration level, so I can't tell all my HomePods to just stand down. This is mostly being posted to make Apple aware of what I think is a glaring flaw in the manageability of their Home ecosystem, but if anyone has found a better way to deal with my situation, I'd love to hear about it.

HomePods Stuck Configuring after 16.2 and move to new HomeKit framework Yesterday I updated all my devices to the latest IOS and macOS. They all updated (iPads, Apple TVs, iPhones, Macs, HomePods - minis, and OG). I then migrated to the new HomeKit framework. It seemed to work, but all my HomePods said "Configuring" for hours in the Home app. I left it overnight, only to find them in the same state this morning. This morning, I tried powering them off and on, and it didn't fix anything. I removed all the HomePods from my home and my iCloud account. I then reset and re-setup both an OG HomePod and a mini. Both remained stuck in "configuring status" for over an hour. Following some internet advice, I re-removed both from my iCloud and reset them. To reduce the problem's complexity, I unplugged all the HomePods except one mini. I restored it using my Mac to a clean new copy of 16.2. I set that one up. Now over an hour later, it's still "configuring." What next? I guess I could remove and reset all my Apple TVs too? I don't want to delete the home as that would be a huge undertaking on a WAG to re-establish. I'll do it if it's the only option, but I'm hoping another option exists. Is anyone else having a similar issue? Any ideas? I'll probably call Apple Support this evening when I have more time, but I suspect they will tell me to delete the home, which will be a bear.

Home App Invitation Not Received I invite someone to the Home App. They never receive the invitation. We have HomePod minis and new phones. All updated. This appears to be a problem for many users and it has gone on for years. Suggested solutions are inconsistent and unreliable. Any suggestions other than randomly try all of the possible solutions?

Check that HomeKit is turned on in Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. It is possible it won’t work if you only have 1 HomePod Mini.
