USB-A to USB-C adator and Apple Watch
Hello
Can I use a simple USB-A to USB-C adaptor (not Apple’s) to charge an Apple Watch 4 with a USB-C charger? I know I won’t get fast charging.
Thanks in advance.

You would need just the opposite type, one that has the female USB-A port to plug the Watch cable into and a USB-C male to plug into the power adapter, if that adapter has the USB-C port as you state.
EDIT: Yes, that is the one. The image you originally had when I did this response was incorrect.

This is the kind of adaptor I mean. And with the Apple USB-A Watch charging cable.
You’re right. I had posted the opposite type of adaptor first (but thought I had fixed it before anyone saw it!).
So there’s no problem using an adaptor like this and charging with a USB-C charger?
Should not be, but there is also a Watch charging cord that has a USB-C connector if you wish to purchase one.
Yes, thank you. I could buy the USB-C charging cord, but I’d rather not spend the money. Plus, I’d then have a cord (the USB-A one that I’m not using.
Understand. Was not suggesting that you buy one, just letting you know one was available. Enjoy your watch.
