Can't get rid of fastquicksearch

Attempted to download a user manual from an unknown site, and my reward was fastquicksearch malware. Now I get popup notifications of suggested sites it thinks I should visit.

Found instructions for removing it from Google Chrome, which I performed. Didn't see any "smoking gun" items to remove. Restarted my Mac but it's still there.

I don't see anything unusual in Finder>Applications.

I'm running on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7.

Two suggestions:

Download Malwarebytes, it can be run in a free mode or with paid version with more features. It can scan your computer for malware and remove it.

Also, download Etrecheck (free or paid with more features), it will provide you with a detailed health report of your computer, including identification of malware that it can also remove. You can copy and post the output of Etrecheck here using the Additional Text button below and someone reading in this forum may be able to flag something for you to remove as well.
