How do I remove my number from unwanted group texts that added me without my permission?

If you go to the group chat and click on the contacts there should be a leave this conversation button. But just a warning in the group chat there will be a notification that you left the group.

On text messages, not possible. However I believe it possible on iMessages. If you pull up the iMessage details I believe there is an option to remove yourself from the group there.
