AirPod Pro strong strange smell

Bought my AirPods Pro from Apple what a strange smell when I open them I will send them back as I bought them as a gift a couple of days ago the smell is ridiculously strong what about people with allergies and over sensitive smells where they have sensory overload the smell is extremely strong the person I was buying for does have sensory overload did not expect this

Smell and tasting my AirPods Pro? Just got my AirPods Pro and the silicone tips have a strong chemical smell, as other people have reported. After listening to music for an hour I swear I can taste them. Back of tongue has a slight bitterness to it along with the chemical “smell” of the AirPods.
