Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
When I plug my phone in to my computer, the majority of my photos on it do not show up to import. My daughter is 3 month's old and I'm worried that I will lose special memories because this keeps happening. Any clue what to do or why this might be happening? Thanks!

Is iCloud Photos enabled on the iPhone? With iCloud Photos enabled and "Optimise Storage", the photos may not be showing in the Import panel, as the photos may not have been downloaded to the iPhone.
View the newer photos enlarged on the iPhone to force a download from iCloud, if iCloud Photos has become enabled.
Then try again, if Photos or Image Capture can see them.

I’m using Monterey 12.0.1 (says my husband). And my phone is 14.8.1. Adobe bridge and apple photos both won’t recognize most of the photos on my phone. The photos I took today show up, but the ones from the past two weeks aren’t there. Thanks!
Are they on your phone, showing in the photos app?
Have you already imported the older ones?
Try the image capture app (this can download photos to a folder on your mac, and you can import them into photos from there - does that see the problem images?
Thanks! It was an iCloud problem. Evidently they were saving to the cloud, but the cloud wasn't enabled on my computer. I didn't realized I had that option on my phone...I usually keep things on a hard drive and not iCloud. Thanks again!

What version of MacOS do you have? Is it possible that your phone is taking pictures in HEIC format, which an older version of MacOS doesn't recognise.
I haven’t imported he older ones, that’s what I’m trying to do. I only use photos to upload from my phone and export from there. They aren’t showing in Adobe bridge downloaded either.
