If you have an iPad that is still on iOS 10.3.3, it probably won't update. However, to make sure, look on the back of the iPad where the wording is and look for a model number. It begins with an A and followed by 4-digits. Report that number and it can be checked. You can also go to Settings>General>Software Update and check for an update. If it says that it is up to date, then you have a device too old to update. It sounds like it could be an iPad, 4th Generation, A1458.

No way at all for me to update it
Absolutely none.
An iPad (apparently iPad 4th gen) running 10.3.3 cannot be updated past iOS 10.
Your options are replacement with a newer (used, refurb) or new iPad.
Any of which will be vastly more capable than that iPad 4th gen from 2010, too.

Not at all. That is a 9-year old iPad, if it matches what I asked you to check. It does not have the hardware to be able to run the newer iOS.
