Set family organizer as parent/guardian to approve apps

I am the organizer for our shared Apple ID family. When “ask to buy” is turned on the notification will go to my wife if she is designated parent/guardian but there is no way to set me as parent. The only role available to me is “organizer” and I never get the notification requests to approve app installs. My wife doesn’t want to be bothered with this. How can I set myself as parent?
