How do I eliminate de volume icon from my iphone 8 screen, please?

That bar should go away after adjusting your volume level...

That's by design, but you're not addressing Apple here.

After you have turned up or down the volume, it should disappear after a moment.
It is the volume bar on the upper left hand side of my iphone!
Can it disappear for ever? I hate it!
