Hi! I have a multiple problem, but lets start with one question...
I have a DVD RW 4.7GB (I want to use as a bootable disc for an eMac).
But to start with, when I put it in my MBP Mid 2012, OSX 10.13 it is ejected after spinning a bit. Other CD do open fine...
I tried inserting this DVD RW in a Windows PC and it DOES OPEN! I can format it, put files on it etc.....
Any suggestions please...?

Instead of fighting the issue you can easily create bootable USBinstaller per the instructions here:
How to create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support
Although I think your link talks about the more modern OS, i need OS 10.4.11 PPC (I have found on on archive.org and downloaded it both in .dmg and .iso). I tried installing .dmg on USB keys, and it seems to be installed but when I plug the USB ans reboot the old eMac it doesn't open up as an option at all....

Thes old OSX shipped on a ROM Disk— what was 10.4 Tiger(?)
I do recall making a bootable DVD w/Lion as they phased out portable media installers...
see if this is applicable to your 10.4

Control click your .dmg to open the >Show package Content> InstallESD.dmg
It is possible a local Macintosh user group would have access to an old 10.4 ..(?)

This would be on your Desktop prior to creating the DVD...
"show package content" which opens up a "content" folder.
Open the Contents folder and poke around...
Sorry still can't find your "shared support" InstallESD.... files.. look at this screen recording... (but thanks!)

I tried right click on the .dmg their is no "show package content". If i open the .dmg and right click the .pkg then I get "show package content" which opens up a "content" folder...
yes... ok so you meant after having burnt the DVD. Can it be a CD or DVD? Whatever? (also i didn't know about these Apple user groups its sounds great!!!)
But my problem with the DVD RW is not solved yet... when I insert it it turns and then ejects without opening.. any help on that please?

I hardly doubt a CD has the capacity to hold GB of data— DVD or double side DVD...depending
This is all going too far back for me to keep up with.
