Finger print scanner not working.
Finger print scanner on MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) stopped working. I there any work-arounds to try or is this a faulty device?

Stopped working how....
You can try Shut down, close the lid 30 secs+ , reboot as normal and test.
If no resolve try SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 to sort anomalies.
reboot as normal and try again.
