My notes seem to disappear. Why?

It sounds as though you’re having issues with notes disappearing unexpectedly. Apple Support Communities is a great place for help, and we’re glad you were directed here from the Use Notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch article. 

To confirm, are your notes returning automatically? For example, if you restart your iPhone do the notes return? If so, have you verified you’re running the latest iOS, and confirmed you have enough available storage on your device? If the notes don’t return, do you know if you’re syncing the notes to iCloud? If you’re unsure, this setting can be verified in Settings > [your name] > iCloud. If you see a green toggle next to Notes, that would indicate that feature is enabled. If the notes are syncing to iCloud, are you able to sign in to your Apple ID via the iCloud website, and do the missing notes appear there?
