I need an external enclosure for Mac mini (Late 2014) (Macmini7,1) SSD I'm removing, and I'm not sure which type of drive enclosure to get.
JAMF lists the SSD in the Mini as the Apple 256GB SSD SM0256G. From what I can tell the notches on the drive don't match any enclosures I have found so far.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the heads up. I did contact them and they said it was proprietary and they didn't have an enclosure yet I could get a PCIe card for a PC and somehow use that? That won't work in my situation.

The mini is dead and not worth the repair. It won't boot to drive and i just want to verify the drive is really dead and if not, use it in an external enclosure to migrate the data to new hardware.
So I really need an enclosure...

Yes I have a non Time Machine backup which will be a serious pain to restore for a reasons which don't matter here.
It would be significantly easier to use and external enclosure and have access to the data.
So I'm here hoping someone had a similar issue and found a solution and can assist.

Do you have a Time Machine or other type of full backup to fall back on?
Check at OWC/Macsales. They know their stuff and there are resources at their website that you may find helpful.
Can you Clone the internal SSD to an external HD or SSD before removing it from the 2014 Mac Mini?
