Keyboard definitions for the original Apple Wireless Keyboard

Is there a diagrammatic chart or table available somewhere that lists what all the non-alphanumeric key combinations on the original Apple Wireless Keyboard do?

That was the one with 16 function keys.

One specific question: Since that keyboard lacks an 'fn' key, which key (if any) substitutes for it?

Thanks.

I think the fn' key is not needed...

There is also an Fn modifier on modern Mac keyboards. Typically, this isn't seen in keyboard shortcuts because it's primarily used to access keys F1 through F20. However, it can technically be combined with Control plus one other key to get a unique legacy combination. Each of these Fn + Control combinations maps to a character in Unicode's U+F700 to U+F7FF private use range. Some programs will erroneously print these characters upon receiving such a combination. With system Mac fonts, these characters lack visible glyphs and are for internal use only.

  1. The shortcut keys for starting dictation can also be customized accordingly.
  2. Now open any text editor in MacOS and press the shortcut keys to bring the dictation tool. You can also simply click on the Edit menu and choose the Start Dictation option.

Thanks, main thing I was looking for was emulation of <Fn><Fn> to toggle Dictation.

The Github article is over my head. Does it include a way to do that?

(The Apple Support article doesn't appear to and the Ultimate Shortcuts Guide doesn't offer anything for OS 10.x.x except a dead link.)
