Apple 7 watch cellular requirements

Does the apple 7 cellular watch require a separate data plan or does it use your existing iPhone number and plan? I’m confused if I will need another data plan and number.

You'll need to add a data plan for the device if using cellular. Many carriers offer an add-on plan for around $10/mo

It does not use an additional plan. It uses your iPhone’s number and service plan and just requires a device add on fee. But it is not an entirely new plan no.
